Our friends at the Institute of Catholic Culture are offering a course on the writings of the Church Fathers. It is simultaneously an introduction and a deep dive into the works of these great figures of the Church. Through the guidance of the renouned and expert teacher of patristics Fr. John Pepino, students focus on those Fathers that are worthy of detailed study, while mainting a sense of an integrated body of teaching. It promises to be a stimulating and life-changing course.

You will become well acquainted with such figures as St. Clement of Rome, St. Ignatius, St. Justin Martyr, St. Irenaeus, Tertullian, St. Cyprian, and Origen. The goal is to come to an understanding of the teachings of the early Church Fathers, the critical role they played in the early Church, and how their influence reverberates into our own generation. 

Lectures will take place in the ICC’s online classroom on Thursday evenings from 8:00 – 9:15 PM Eastern time, January 25 – June 20, 2024. A special course orientation session will be held on January 18th. Recordings will be made available after each class for those who miss the live session.
