Featuring: Father Reginald Lynch, O.P.

Attend Scala’s conference, “Art, the Sacred, and the Common Good” on April 30, 2022, to hear Fr. Reginald Lynch speak on a panel!

The panel is titled, “Culture & the Common Good: Theological and Philosophical Perspectives on Beauty and Our Life Together.” David Corey of Baylor University will join other distinguished speakers: RJ Snell of The Witherspoon Institute and Public Discourse, David Corey of Baylor University, and Gordon Mikoski of Princeton Theological Seminary.

Fr. Lynch has a PhD in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. His degree is characterized by a major concentration in medieval theology and minor concentrations in patristics and philosophical theology.

Before obtaining his PhD, Fr. Lynch entered the Dominican Province of St. Joseph in 2007, and was ordained a priest in 2013. He served at St. Patrick Parish in Columbus, Ohio and taught at the Pontifical College Josephinum.

His writing on sacramental, systematic and historical theology has been published in journals such as The Thomist and Nova et Vetera. His book, The Cleansing of the Heart: The Sacraments as Instrumental Causes in the Thomistic Tradition received the Charles Cardinal Journet Prize in 2018.

Fr. Lynch has also given lectures for The Thomistic Institute and Ave Maria University.

Currently, Fr. Lynch is an assistant professor in systematic and historical theology at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies. He is also working on a book concerning the reception of Aquinas’ Eucharistic theology in the early modern period.
